I'm Stephanie, a french-native, Chicago-based yoga teacher. Yoga found me 10 years ago when I was working in the corporate world in Paris, France, my home-town. The practice of Vinyasa and Integral yoga helped me to offset stress, find balance in my daily life, and connect to my deep intuitions. Deeply moved by the practice, I felt the need to share the incredible benefits I've received. I truly believe Yoga and Meditation are powerful tools for healing transformation and sparking the creativity we all have in us.
With over 500 hours of training, including 200-hours certified by Moksha Yoga Chicago, and 95-hours certified Prenatal Yoga teacher by Amala School of Yoga, both certified by the Yoga Alliance, I keep my passion and curiosity drive with inspiring teachers such as Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Tias Little, Gabriel Halpern, Leeann Carey, Mia Park and many more.
I also have completed additional extensive training in Yoga Nidra, a powerful ancient Tantric technique of guided, progressive relaxation. As a teacher, I strive to establish a safe, nurturing and loving space to support my students on their own journey to awareness, empowering them to feel good in their body and mind, and find their inspiration to grow.
Yoga Nidra is referred to as «yogic sleep». This specific type of guided relaxation comes from the Tantric lineage and is performed by getting the body, mind and intellect to deeply relax, consciously. A deep form of meditation.
Yoga Nidra is truly accessible to anyone and has been found to reduce body and mental tensions - it is used to help people with PTSD - anxiety, enhance memory, improve sleep, and spark creativity.
Prenatal & Postnatal
Prenatal Yoga helps to reduce common pregnancy aches and pains by stretching and strengthening muscles and boosting the cardiovascular system. It also prepares the body and mind for childbirth, using deep breathing techniques useful to build endurance, as well as to learn how to deeply relax, reducing fears and apprehension.
Postnatal Yoga will help you regain your strength, improve your posture and muscle tone (deep core and pelvic floor), and it is also a great way to connect with like-minded mamas. Bring your little ones to my Baby and me classes!
Students are guided trough a sequence floating safely from one pose to the next, syncronizing breath and movement - in vinyasa. Internally focused, emphasizing on alignment and breath awareness, the class encourages everyone to creatively explore physical, emotional and subtles energetic sensations leading to greater sensitivity and inner peace. This class includes Asanas, Pranayama, chanting and meditation.
All level of students will be able to experience Mindful Flow at their own pace.
